Roquan Smith looks to be an elite linebacker for the Chicago Bears

Smith looks to be having the best year of his NFL career. He’s one of the leading players in total tackles and had an impressive showing versus the Jacksonville Jaguars that resulted in two interceptions, a fumble recovery, and two pass breakups.

The Pro Bowl may have snubbed the former Georgia Bulldog, but that hasn’t stopped Smith from having an incredible season. His coverage skills have been great to see, and it just seems like he’s a magnet to the ball and whoever is carrying it.

He’s truly been the anchor of this defense and will be a key player in any Bears playoff matchup. Should the team play the Saints in the Wild Card matchup, Smith would likely be able to put up a similar, if not better, stat line when these teams played earlier: 11 total tackles, with two for a loss.
