The Chicago Bears have some needs to address in the first round of the NFL Draft

With the Chicago Bears now making the playoffs thanks to an Arizona Cardinals’ loss, that locks the Bears to get the projected 20th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. The lowest they could get is the 19th overall pick in the draft, but that is only if the Washington Football Team beats the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As of now, it’s hard to say what the biggest needs are for the Chicago Bears for the NFL draft. They could address a lot of issues and additionally create a lot of issues depending on who they decided to re-sign, release, or sign to their team. But there are some foundational pieces at certain positions they should look to build around.

The way this season ends could also be huge for who comes back and who doesn’t. We may see a completely new coaching staff next season and general manager. Regardless though, the new general manager will have to make some tough choices of who he should go after with his first pick.

This will be the first season since 2018 that the Bears have a first-round pick in the NFL Draft. After some rough years of first-round picks, it is vital the Bears find a star with their pick like they did in 2018 with Roquan Smith.
