Darnell Mooney walks away with the Chicago Bears Rookie of the Year award
Honorable mentions: Jaylon Johnson, Cole Kmet
This one was probably the easiest award to figure out. The rookie out of Tulane has emerged as the Bears’ #2 wide receiver, becoming a key playmaker for the offense. His showing against the Packers was eye-opening to that: 11 receptions for 93 yards, including this play.

Mooney may have not had a huge season in terms of stats, but the rookie still left his mark on the offense. His route running, blocking, and ability to see the field and make plays make him look like a veteran out there. Mooney has all the intangibles to be a great receiver for this Bears offense in the long-term, as his potential has only up to go.
