Khalil Mack needs to have a career day for the Chicago Bears vs the Saints

This is another instance much like Eddie Jackson. Khalil Mack is an outstanding football player. He gets double and triple-teamed constantly to try to just slow him down. But once again, as a product of the Pagano-system, Mack suffers like Jackson.

Unlike Jackson, Mack still gets his pressures and produces decently well, but nowhere near what he did in 2018 with the Bears or in years past with the Oakland Raiders. He only has 9.5 sacks this season. Once again, it isn’t much of his fault as it is Pagano’s, but we should expect more from the Bears’ highest-paid player.

This upcoming game for the Bears will be a major test for the front seven. The Saints have a great offensive line, a Hall of Fame quarterback, and an elite running back. It is vital that the Bears can at least slow down Alvin Kamara and get to Drew Brees quite a few times to pressure him. Mack needs to set the tempo in this regard. His play will be huge in this game.

Final Thoughts:

A lot needs to go right for the Bears to even make it past the first round, but the Bears are 0-0 now. Anything can happen in the playoffs. If the Bears play to their potential, they are a very hard team to stop.
