The Chicago Bears should bring in inexpensive veteran wide receivers

These cuts would mean that the team will need to find replacements. There are plenty of solid 2021 free agents this year that the Bears can take a stab at. Here is a look at a few options for the Bears.

  • Will Fuller: 3 year/$12 million total, $8 million guaranteed, club option in 2023
  • Zay Jones: 1 year/$2.5 million total, $1.5 million guaranteed
  • Demarcus Robinson: 2 year/$8 million total, $5.5 million guaranteed
  • John Ross: 2 year/$10 million total, $6 million guaranteed, club option in 2022

Again, these are just a few offer ideas. Of all the names listed, Fuller is the most intriguing. The club option allows the Bears to see if he can remain healthy as he did in 2020. It’s important to note that Fuller was suspended due to PEDs and will miss the first game of 2021.

If for some reason the Chicago Bears cannot resign Allen Robinson, then they might need to look at spending the extra money on some of the bigger-named free agent wide receivers. Corey Davis or Kenny Golladay would be ideal here in Chicago and will cost less than Allen Robinson.
