The Chicago Bears need to address the wide receiver corps
The Chicago Bears should see what they have in Riley Ridley and DeAndre Carter
Riley Ridley was the Bears’ 2019 fourth-round pick. In his two seasons with the Bears, Ridley has appeared in 10 games, recording 10 receptions for 108 yards. That isn’t much to put on his football resume, but with a potential shift in this group in 2021, Ridley could have a chance to emerge into a larger role.
Ridley is also a cheap option for the Bears, as he’s on contract for two more years. There’s no sense in getting rid of him now, and maybe with increased snaps and two years under his belt, we could see the former Georgia Bulldog rise to the occasion.
As for Carter, he signed on to the Bears to help the Bears fulfill their need at punt returner. With the uncertainty of Tarik Cohen‘s injury, Carter is another cheap and young option to have on the roster. At worse, he’s a training camp body the Bears keep around on the practice squad.
