The Chicago Bears must find a top receiver in this year’s draft

Even if Robinson re-signs this year, the Bears can’t afford to have too many weapons. The offensive struggles this year combined with the uncertainty at quarterback make this position a must-draft-early for the Bears. If Robinson chooses to walk, then finding his replacement must come from this year’s draft.

The first name that comes to mind is Rondale Moore. Moore was considered a first-round talent prior to injuries and starting the season opted out for the Purdue Boilermakers.

Moore could slip to the Bears in the second round as a result or even drop farther into the third. If Moore isn’t the Bears’ option, then they should swing at the fences for Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle. It is unlikely either is available when the Bears pick at 20 in the first round, therefore this might require a trade-up if one falls far enough.

Finding a first or second-round talent at receiver will help whoever starts at quarterback this year, while also finding a potential long-term weapon for this Bears offense.
