The Chicago Bears must find a way to bring back these eight players in 2021

The Chicago Bears season has come to an end. As we all get to continue watching the playoffs from the comfort of our homes, Chicago Bears players, coaches and staff will now be joining us. Rumors are swirling that Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace will be back for another run in 2021. Reports are that Chuck Pagano is retiring, although I wonder if he knew he was going to be fired.

With all of the craziness surrounding the coaching staff and the front office, it might be easy to overlook the depth chart and pending free agents that will be hitting the market in 2021. The Chicago Bears need to take a look at some of these players and determine who should be back and who should be allowed to leave.

Personally, I want to put Mitch Trubisky on this list. I think he’s the best option to bridge this team in 2021 and into the future. Unfortunately, Nick Foles is not going anywhere as he is guaranteed nearly $7 million next season. I do not see the Chicago Bears bringing back Trubisky to pair with Foles and still draft a quarterback high in the 2021 NFL Draft. Even with Nagy and Pace likely to return, I will leave Trubisky off this list and hope he lands with a team he can find great success.

Instead, we will look at players that I think would be a priority to return even if a new general manager was put in place of this franchise.
