Brent Urban is another player the Chicago Bears should bring back in 2021

I was glad that the Chicago Bears made the right choice in bringing Brent Urban back last season. He is a very consistent run defender and brings some quality depth to the defensive line. He also seems to bring some life to the defense with his dances and antics on the field. That’s important for a game that fuels on team chemistry.

Urban had a career year in the sacks department with 2.5 in 2020. This is a testament once again to Jay Rodgers and the work he has done with the defensive line. He also finished with a career year in tackles as he finished with 17 solos and 19 assists.

Urban is a bit of a journeyman. He has played for three teams now throughout his career. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round in 2014. He then spent part of the 2019 season with the Titans before being waived and picked up by the Bears. At 29 years old, just like Tashaun Gipson, Urban should be able to be brought back on a fairly inexpensive contract.
