The Chicago Bears are going to need to find a new defensive coordinator now that Chuck Pagano has decided to retire. Many were calling for Pagano’s head before he announced his retirement, but with how the Chicago Bears brass handled the end of the season press conference, I doubt Pagano would have been fired either.

Whenever you see a new head coach or coordinator, turnover is bound to happen. We did not see this last season here in Chicago. Instead, we saw Mark Helfrich and Harry Heistand become scapegoats for Matt Nagy. This offseason will be a little different, but if the Chicago Bears do not promote internally then we will likely see some new positional coaches in 2021.

Rumors are out that a few Chicago Bears positional coaches could be poached for promotions

Furthermore, despite finishing 8-8 the last two seasons, many of the Chicago Bears positional coaches are well-respected throughout the league. As we see many new head coaches in the NFL in 2021, there is a good chance some of the Bears’ positional coaches could be plucked for promotions on other teams. This might be hard to believe with how poorly the team has done the last two years, but rumors and reports have already come out regarding a few.

No matter if the Chicago Bears should choose to move on from a few members of their coaching staff or a few positional coaches are poached for promotions, here are four coaches who may need to be replaced in 2021.
