2. George Edwards

Edwards had been a linebackers coach before Mike Zimmer called him to coordinate his defense with the Minnesota Vikings. From there, George Edwards was DC from 2014-2019. That was a great defense for a strong run, although Mike Zimmer will earn most of the credit.

Still, Edwards was learning from the great coach, and as a linebacker background, he got the most out of Anthony Barr, and Eric Kendricks.

The Chicago Bears biggest weakness was their linebackers last season, and perhaps Edwards could get more out Danny Treavthan as a pass rusher in 2021.

The question is that Edwards ran a 4-3 in Minnesota, and would likely change some of the looks. Still, with Robert Quinn, a 4-3 is for the better.
