Pittsburgh Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger started the season strong for the Steelers, but you could tell his arm just isn’t what it was after his elbow surgery. They struggled at the end of the season losing to teams like the Washington Football Team and after starting 11-0, they were first-round playoff exits to the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers have an elite defense led by T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick. They are going to be very good on defense for years and just need their offense to help out. They had virtually no running back as well as James Conner was largely ineffective and will likely be gone next season.

If they go cheap and bring in Trubisky and getting a nice running back to pair with him, they could be a hard offense to stop. Trubisky would have some nice weapons in Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson while also being reunited with his college teammate Eric Ebron. He would be a great fit with this team.

Honorable Mentions:

  • New York Jets
    • If they keep Sam Darnold, solid back up to compete with him if he fails.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Learn behind the greatest of all time.
  • Indianapolis Colts
    • Starter for them if Philip Rivers doesn’t return and they don’t go after Carson Wentz
  • Washington Football Team
    • No idea who their quarterback even is at this point, but good team fit.
