1. Linebacker issues
Roquan Smith was absolutely excellent this year. However, he was not a first-team All-Pro because the linebacker unit was looked at as a weakness in Chicago. Smith ran around and made plays, but had a few up and down games. Beyond that, Danny Trevathan made him look worse. Trevathan was slow and looked old at times.
Running backs such as Brian Hill, Ronald Jones, and more wound up abusing this duo. Trevathan was beaten in coverage even worse.
The Bears tried to sub Deon Bush for Danny Trevathan but it did not help against the run. Overall, the Chicago Bears were in a tough spot at linebacker.

This may be the biggest challenge for Dessai. On one hand, Smith is ready to explode and Dessai needs to showcase him. On the other, the end is coming for Trevathan, and he needs to hide him. It will be a tough task juggling both, but this is the biggest question the Chicago Bears defense faces.
