Ranking Senior Bowl QBs for Chicago Bears
Which Senior Bowl quarterback would be the best fit with the Chicago Bears?
The Chicago Bears are very likely to draft a quarterback this offseason. Nobody is saying round one necessarily, but as we stand today, they are one of the most likely in the NFL to walk away from draft weekend with a potential signal caller.
Without a combine and with limited interactions, every meeting and practice rep this offseason will matter. With the Senior Bowl this week, the Chicago Bears will get an up close and personal evaluation of six or seven gun slingers in the draft.
Kyle Trask will be in Mobile, but will not be competing this week. With that in mind, we will only be ranking the top six quarterbacks that we will be able to watch this weekend.
Which quarterbacks that play this weekend will be the best fit with the Chicago Bears?
6. Sam Ehlinger
Sam Ehlinger is a fun college football player, but that may be where the line ends. This is going to be a big week for him to prove that he deserves a chance to get drafted. Ehlinger is a smart quarterback, but he does not have the arm or the consistency for the NFL.
Far hash throws sail on him, and he keeps everything within ten yards of the line of scrimmage. Beyond that are questionable plays out of structure, and an insistence to leave a clean pocket.
The play of Ehlinger can prove a lot of doubters wrong, but he is hoping to show that he can stick in the NFL on the back of a roster, let alone be a true signal caller on Sundays.
