The New York Jets have money to spend and could trade with the Chicago Bears

One of the teams with the most projected cap space this offseason is the New York Jets, who also have a good amount of draft capital and a brand-new head coach. Thinks are changing for Gang Green, that’s for sure.

The first order of business for Robert Saleh is to figure out whether or not the Jets will stick with Sam Darnold. According to some rumors rolling around out there, it’s not out of the realm of possibilities for New York to keep Darnold on board as their starter in 2021.

If that holds true, then the No. 2 pick becomes very intriguing — and could likely be traded for a haul. If New York is able to get a huge return for that pick, this deal becomes even easier for them to pull off.

The Bears get two high picks in this year’s draft while the Jets finally get a legitimate number one wide receiver. They’ve been riding with guys like Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman, Braxton Berrios among others. Robinson instantly changes this offense, and I’m certain the Jets would not be done there.

They would continue to add more and more talent around Darnold (or whomever their quarterback might be) and give Saleh the best opportunity to turn things around as quickly as possible.
