The Patriots finally land a true No. 1 wideout by trading with the Chicago Bears

There are a lot of questions needing answers from the New England Patriots this offseason. Cam Newton appears to have been a 1-year trial at quarterback, and Bill Belichick now must find his quarterback of the future.

But, when he finds that quarterback, who will said-passer be throwing the football to? N’Keal Harry has yet to pan out. Jakobi Meyers is better suited as a No. 2 or No. 3 option. Damiere Byrd is a journeyman who finally found a bit of relevance last year in New England. What’s going to happen with Julian Edelman?

As stated — lots of questions. Enter: Allen Robinson.

The Patriots forfeited their third-round pick this year due to illegal filming of the Bengals’ sideline during the 2019 season, so attempting to get two picks from this year’s draft might be tough. But, adding a fifth-rounder next year seems fair.

This might even be a bargain for New England, considering they once traded a first-round pick for Brandin Cooks.

Even so, the Bears get an extra second-round pick this year which is something they could use to go up further into the first round and pursue a top-four quarterback. Meanwhile, the Patriots now have to find someone to throw Robinson the football.
