Chicago Bears: Realistic sign-and-trade destinations for Allen Robinson
By Ryan Heckman
Allen Robinson could give Lamar Jackson and the Ravens what they’re missing
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens look like a team that could end up finding their way into a Super Bowl in the near future. But, they’re missing just one more piece on offense. While Marquise Brown has all the speed of a serious downfield threat, he doesn’t give Jackson what he needs most.
Robinson is the type of wideout Jackson has lacked for a while, and that’s a possession guy who Jackson can count on in all situations. Jackson doesn’t like to throw the ball downfield often, so having someone like Robinson who can do damage in just about any type of route would give Jackson a cheat code.
Looking at an offense with Jackson, J.K. Dobbins, Robinson, Brown and Mark Andrews would be a scary sight for opposing defenses. Now, what would the Ravens have to give up?
If I’m Baltimore, I would have no problem giving up the No. 27 pick in the draft for a qualified Pro Bowl talent like Robinson. Having that type of threat on an offense with a dynamic quarterback and running back would be well-worth that type of cost.
Robinson puts Baltimore’s offense right back where it was two seasons ago, and Jackson gets back in the MVP conversation once again.
