The Chicago Bears send Atlanta a bridge option in Nick Foles, plus picks

With Atlanta likely landing their future at the quarterback position in the 2021 Draft, the Bears could offer them a quality backup in a deal for Ryan. By sending Nick Foles to Atlanta, the Bears can completely rid themselves of the stench that was their quarterback room in 2020.

But, Foles would offer the Falcons tremendous value as a backup and mentor. He’s not the guy they want under center Week 1, but he’ll be able to give their rookie quarterback plenty of strong direction and advice.

Funny enough, the Falcons get a guy in this deal who led an improbable comeback against their defense last season in a game he replaced then-starter Mitchell Trubisky. The irony is overflowing.

The Bears also send a nice package of picks to Atlanta, giving them a pair of first-round picks as well as a third-rounder in this year’s draft. At the same time, the Bears are able to get a fourth-rounder in return from the Falcons, just so they’re not completely stripped of draft capital this year.

Must Read. Bears can get Jimmy Garoppolo if they offer one of these trades. light

With Ryan under center in Chicago for 2021 and the immediate future, the Bears are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. There’s no question about it. Sure, the money needs to be figured out. But, Pace will figure it out… or else. This is, in fact, his final chance in Chicago.
