There are multiple questions surrounding the Chicago Bears secondary

For starters, the biggest question is can Jaylon Johnson stay healthy? Johnson has already shown he can be a high-end cornerback in the NFL as a rookie. He was the best rookie cornerback in the NFL last season before his injury. But can he stay healthy with all of his shoulder injuries piling up?

The Bears need an upgrade at slot corner. Buster Skrine is not cutting it as he constantly gets picked on by every single team in the NFL. He allowed a 125.7 passer rating when targeted this season and allowed five touchdowns. He needs to be cut to save money and to upgrade.

Who will be the Bears’ next safety alongside Eddie Jackson? The Bears lately have had a revolving door of safeties from Adrian Amos to Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to Tashaun Gipson. The Bears could bring back Gipson as he looked very good, or they could get a true strong safety to play alongside Jackson. Regardless, they should lock up a safety for more than one season to develop chemistry with Jackson.
