The Chicago Bears have plenty of holes to fill this offseason. Quarterback is arguably the biggest of those holes, while others believe it to be offensive tackle. Both the left and right sides need to be upgraded. The team has plenty of other holes that need to be addressed too.
Spotrac does a great job with their NFL contract analysis and database. They also put together a predicted market value for some of the better free agents hitting the market. Recently, they went even further and put together a list of some of these free agents and gave a best-guess on where the player would sign this offseason.
The Chicago Bears are predicted to sign three of the free agents Spotrac discussed, while also losing Allen Robinson and Mitch Trubisky. Robinson is predicted to head back to the Jaguars, while the Patriots swoop in and grab Trubisky. Trubisky is predicted to sign a short-term, team-friendly contract, whereas Robinson is predicted to sign a five-year, $100 million dollar deal. Hopefully, the franchise tag will at least be used and the Bears will get something for Robinson in a trade.
With neither of those two being the predicted free agent signings, Spotrac has the team signing a quarterback to apparently compete with Nick Foles, a new wide receiver to replace Allen Robinson and also a new safety to pair up with Eddie Jackson. None of them look to be long-term options and honestly, I am not confident any of them help the team get over the hump.
