I don’t believe the Chicago Bears and Mitch Trubisky will be reconnecting the fire this offseason. I will try my best to follow the comments on this article, but I want to know everybody’s opinions and thoughts on a few things regarding Mitch Trubisky.

Recently, a tweet came about how Mitch Trubisky is the only quarterback to play or start 50 games and not throw an interception that went the other way for a touchdown. That’s impressive, but it’s not the be-all-end-all. Just an impressive state in his tool bag — like tossing six touchdown passes in one game.

Sure some of those passes were easy, but you know what, a lot haven’t done it. So I applaud the kid. What I am concerned about is fans feeling the Bears have a lot of other, better options. I have heard that Mitch Trubisky is trash, and Sam Darnold, Cam Newton, Jimmy Garoppolo, Carson Wentz, and Marcus Mariota are extremely better.

I won’t debate that some of these quarterbacks have the potential to be better, but extremely better is a whole other situation. So I ask, what do some of you see in these other quarterbacks that make you feel they are 100% better than Mitch Trubisky?

Was it the Jimmy Graoppolo Super Bowl appearance? Mind you; I had the luxury of laughing at Green Bay Packers fans as Garoppolo tossed eight passes that game in a win. Eight! The 29 carries by Raheem Mostert for 220 yards was the game. It sounds a lot like an extreme case of defense and running that ball that game.

I ask once again, how can people feel Garoppolo, who has played in only 31 of a possible 64 games, should be the future for the Chicago Bears? Not to mention the year he played the entire season, he passed for 3,900 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

This article is not intended to persuade anybody into liking Mitch Trubisky. Feel free to dislike and not want him on the Chicago Bears. However, the replacement for him should be someone who is clearly better than him.

Adam Hoge and Adam Jahns played a game at the end of their “Ranking the best options” podcast, and I found it pretty interesting how many quarterbacks Adam Jahns said yes to so easily. Adam Hoge on the other hand only said yes to a few of the options at quarterback as he kept talking about most of them keeping the Chicago Bears in quarterback mediocrity Hell. One note though is that both agreed Mitch Trubisky was better than most of the realistic options out there.
