5 best Buster Skrine replacements for Chicago Bears

4. Brian Poole

Brian Poole is coming off a season in which missed the final seven games due to a knee injury. Still, he is 29 years old, so should have a couple of years left, and at this point could be considered a value. Spotrac has him valued closer to $4 million, which means they could get close to an even return on the savings from Skrine.

The big difference between him and Hilton is the health, though. Hilton has a few more plays on the ball, and a few fewer missed tackles, as well, but Poole has allowed fewer big passes than Hilton.

Beyond that, Poole was an upgrade over Skrine across the board, whether it be coverage, run, or blitzing. It is weird that the Bears would sign the player who replaced Buster Skrine in New York, but it is far to say the Jets had the better signing of the two, despite both missing time.

Poole has the injury question but could be a nice upgrade for a cheap cost.
