3. Corn Elder

Corn Elder will be a fascinating look into how the NFL values him. He is a player who had never seen the field until the season after struggling with Ron Rivera in his defense. However, Matt Rhule and defensive coordinator Phil Snow turned out the best of slot cornerback Corn Elder with the Panthers.

According to PFF, Elder ranked 5th in yards allowed per snap behind just Bryce Callahan, Jalen Ramsey, Ross Cockrell, and K’Waun Williams. That is good company.

Elder is thin and short, but has quick feet and can match fast and shift receivers. The question with Elder is what will one season of quality play get him. Injuries and struggles in his first regime are on the resume.

Does he stick with the coaching staff that brought out the best in him? The Panther’s run defense was so bad, was he helped by not needing to be attacked? Is he a one-year wonder? His value could be as high as Hilton, or as low as $1-2 million. We will find out soon.
