1. Chris Conley, WR

This post has been all about connections, and the Chicago Bears certainly could be adding Chris Conley to the wide receiver room based on that. Conley was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs when Matt Nagy was there.

However, it was not only Nagy who worked with Conley but Nick Foles, who threw to Conley in his limited time playing for the Chiefs. It goes beyond that, though.

In 2019 he signs with the Jaguars when John DeFilippo was there, and of course, we know who the head coach was. Conley has not quite caught on and will not be the most primed target in free agency. The familiarity with two coaches, including the head coach, as well as the quarterback is probably going to at least draw attention from Chicago. He may not get better offers and sign a team-friendly deal.

The reality is that Conely will not set the world on fire, but he is better than Javon Wims, and Riley Ridley. Heck, you can argue at his worst, Miller is not better, although Miller has more promise. The Bears need to add players like Conley to improve the depth and Conely should want to come here on a cheap one-year deal to hope to improve his status. It could be a good fit.
