The Chicago Bears are may bring back Tashaun Gipson, but they could be looking to replace, or hopefully upgrade over him. Like Gipson, the idea would be that because of Eddie Jackson, it is much easier to put any box safety in the mix with him, and he will make that safety standout,

For two years, this idea has worked. HaHa Clinton-Dix had a bounceback season for Chicago after struggling in Washington. The next season Dallas pays him for what he did in Chicago and cuts him in camp.

Gipson was struggling in Houston after being cut by the Jaguars and then came to Chicago where he got his career back on track. The Bears should continue to spend less and let other teams pay for what a guy like Gipson did. Joseph was a former first-round pick who has the pedigree and the chance to bounce back.

He spent most of his career with the Raiders, where things were a mess, and last year was on the Browns. He was up and down and was banged up, but when healthy, was relied on as the top safety. In Chicago his role would be more refined. At the same or cheaper cost than Gipson, Joseph could be even better.
