Chicago Bears: Clues to watch for indicating a Russell Wilson trade or not
Chicago Bears miss out on Russell Wilson if Seattle signs top offensive linemen
The next big clue that the Seahawks are not going to move on from Russell Wilson this offseason is if they start investing heavily in their offensive line. We have already seen some talent released from teams at the offensive line position heading into free agency. The salary cap casualties usually end up becoming another team’s meal ticket.
The Seahawks offensive line was in shambles yet again as Russell Wilson found himself getting sacked 47 times last year. That was one less sack than he saw in 2019 and he was sacked 51 times in 2018. Needless to say, I think Russell Wilson is tired of getting smacked around every season and wants to prolong his career.
If the Seahawks start to add some offensive line talent early in the free agency process, or they at least take a swing at one or two big offensive line free agents over the next couple of days, that will be a sign that the Chicago Bears should start looking elsewhere to improve their quarterback room.
