Chicago Bears: 3 potential replacements for Kyle Fuller after his release
By Joseph Herff
Chicago Bears could add Richard Sherman — San Francisco 49ers
Richard Sherman has been in the NFL for years now. He’s most notably remembered for his time in the Legion of Boom in Seattle when the Seahawks defense was nearly impossible to score against. Sherman though left along with everyone else and moved on and continued to dominate.
Sherman ruptured his Achilles in 2017 while on the Seahawks and many questioned if he could be good coming back from it or even come back in general. Due to that, the Seahawks let him walk. He then went to the San Francisco 49ers to prove himself. He was solid in 2018, but in 2019, he was his true self again earning himself an 88.9 grade on PFF. He earned himself his fifth Pro Bowl of his career.
The big, physical corner would be a great replacement for Kyle Fuller. He excels in zone coverage and showed his true abilities back in 2019. 2020 he was injured and missed most of the season. 2019 though, he allowed an unbelievable 63 passer rating while targeted. He had three interceptions and a touchdown as well. Sherman may be the only player who would be an upgrade from Fuller.
