The Chicago Bears send a future first-round pick to the Broncos to move up

In this trade, the Chicago Bears get nervous the Broncos might be looking to take a quarterback. Ryan Pace once again crumbles under the pressure, panics and moves up too high, giving up too much for the opportunity to take Mac Jones or Trey Lance.

I would not be happy with this trade, but it is definitely a possibilty. The Chicago Bears and Denver. Broncos have a friendly team history with trades, plus head coach Vic Fangio was once the defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears. There is no bad blood between Fangio and the Bears, instead there is mutual appreciation for one another.

The Broncos are also not likely to move back here, but George Paton being in his first year might take a look at that future first-round pick and the depth of this draft at offensive tackle and bite. Most believe that Paton and the Broncos are going to go with Rashawn Slater or Christian Darrisaw — the second and third rated LT prospects coming out this year.

The thing is, the draft is loaded at the position and moving back to 20 while acquiring a future first and a second in this year’s draft should be more than enough to move up for Pace. Getting a fifth-rounder back is not enough for me either. Although this is a trade package I can see happening, it is not one I would sign off on. That said, we all know how Pace will do Pace things.
