DeVonta Smith is another easy decision for the Chicago Bears should he fall

With two names left on my list, it is crazy how many seem to come from Alabama. DeVonta Smith is the second wide receiver from the Crimson Tide. Although I like his teammate Jaylen Waddle slightly more, Smith is clearly worth moving up for also.

Some are concerned by his small frame. Smith is 6’1″, but only 170 pounds. It appears that some teams and scouts are shying away from him a little because of it. This could mean that the standout wide receiver falls within the range for Ryan Pace to strike. I doubt he falls all the way to 20th-overall, but should he hit the teens, watch out.

Smith can play all over the field but fits better as a Z receiver. He needs to be a part of a quick offense that gets the ball out quickly. Last season, Smith put on a show. Smith caught 117 balls for 1,856 yards and a whopping 23 touchdowns.

This was not the first year that Smith did well either. In 2019, Smith gained over 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. This guy can play ball and we need to get over his size — he plays much bigger.
