In less than a month, we are going to find out a lot more about what the Chicago Bears plan to do with their wide receiving corps.

What we know right now is not actually much at all. Darnell Mooney is cemented on this roster as a starter. On the opposite side, we assume Allen Robinson will be there after he signed his franchise tender. But, the possibility of trading Robinson is still up in the air.

The Bears have until mid-July to get an extension done for Robinson, but if no deal gets done, the potential for a trade becomes much more real.

For months now, the frustration has been building in regards to Anthony Miller. The front office has not been happy with his attitude and how he was ejected from the game against the Saints this past season. Would the Bears ultimately cut Miller? They just might, but it could happen after the draft.

The Chicago Bears must find a wide receiver in the 2021 NFL Draft, but where?

General manager Ryan Pace has a history of looking at the smaller programs and trying to find a few gems. Pace is one of those general managers who always thinks he’s the smartest man in the room. Sometimes, the opposite has been true.

Should receiver become a real issue for the Bears, going small could end up paying big dividends. The opportunity to select one of the following players would also allow the Bears to focus elsewhere with their premium picks towards the top of the draft. Remember, they may not be done yet at quarterback.

In this year’s draft, Pace could look to add a receiver from one of those smaller programs he’s always been interested in, and thus help solidify the position moving forward. A move like drafting one of the following guys might actually be a shining moment for Pace.
