Reports are out now that the Atlanta Falcons are taking calls to move down from the fourth-overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. To move up from the No. 20 pick to the No. 4 pick will not be easy, but the Chicago Bears must at least consider the move.

Right now, it looks as though three quarterbacks could come off the board with the first three picks. Trevor Lawrence seems like a lock to go first overall to the Jaguars. The Jets are rumored to both be taking a quarterback at No. 2 and conversely, sticking with Sam Darnold and either trading back or taking a different prospect to surround more talent around Darnold. For argument’s sake, we will assume the Jets are taking a quarterback.

Recently, the San Francisco 49ers traded up from the 12th pick in the draft to the third-overall pick.

With this move, it is obvious that the 49ers plan to take a quarterback. The question is, which quarterback will they take? Rumors have been going around that it will likely be either Mac Jones or Justin Fields. Personally, my money is on Fields, but if the Chicago Bears are able to move up to the Falcons’ pick at No. 4, then I am secretly hoping it is Mac Jones who the 49ers select. Justin Fields is second behind Lawrence in my quarterback rankings. Mac Jones is fourth.

With the rumors that came out today though, it appears the Falcons want to see what kind of haul they can get for the fourth-overall pick. They still have a very serviceable quarterback in Matt Ryan. Maybe they trade back, add a first-round talent to their current roster, while also bringing in future picks to keep the franchise moving in a strong direction. Reports are that the team still plans on considering a future quarterback or even a top-talented player like Kyle Pitts or Ja’Marr Chase.

With all of these rumors floating around, we thought it would be a good idea to look at what it might take for the Chicago Bears to move up to get a quarterback with the fourth-overall pick.
