Joe Burrow is the Chicago Bears’ ticket to a quarterback this year

As previously stated, the Bengals are in a coveted position. Just a year after having the number one overall pick, Cincinnati improved, and it all started with drafting Joe Burrow. Burrow didn’t even play his entire rookie season, so Cincinnati should be even more excited for the 2021 campaign.

With Burrow back in the fold, this team is on the up and up. That’s all it took — one major move at the quarterback position, and this team is excited about the future.

With the Bengals knowing their identity under center, there’s no deal they shouldn’t be listening to for that fifth overall selection in this year’s draft. With that said, the Bears should throw the entire kitchen sink at them.

If you look at what it took for the San Francisco 49ers to move up to pick no. 3 from their 12th overall selection, the Bears are going to have to swing for the fences if they are to land that No. 5 pick from Cincinnati.

Chicago could offer their first-rounder this year, a first next year, and a first in 2023. But, that’s not all. The Bears would also give the Bengals their third-rounder this year and a third in 2022. Fortunately, this would allow Pace to ask for a fourth-rounder in this year’s draft — something they do not currently own.

Trading three firsts and a pair of thirds for the fifth overall pick, and a fourth, would mean the Bears will likely end up with either Justin Fields or Trey Lance — that’s assuming the Atlanta Falcons decide not to go quarterback and there are three quarterbacks that go within the first three picks.

If Chicago can land a potential franchiser quarterback with this deal, they should do it, no questions asked.
