The Chicago Bears give up a lot of future capital in this first mock trade

Similar to our Bears/Falcons trade article, the first of these three trades include the Chicago Bears sending quite a bit of future draft capital. This trade is a replica of both our mocked Falcons trade and the trade the 49ers and the Miami Dolphins made a few weeks ago.

The 49ers/Dolphins trade puts the Bears in a tough situation when trading up. Should the Lions get stingy, the Bears will have to pool into more than just the next two years of first-round picks to convince them otherwise. Will the front office give Ryan Pace that much power as he sits on the hot seat? Ted Phillips and George McCaskey have said multiple times that Pace has full control of football decisions and they will stay out of it. Were they being honest though?

This is a team, however, that is desperate. Ryan Pace wants to keep his job, and being able to obtain a top quarterback in this draft class would likely give him at least another year on his contract. The Lions are rebuilding and want as many picks as possible, so if Pace is willing to fork them over and ownership allows Pace to have full control as they say, then a Bears/Lions trade here is possible.
