Chicago Bears Draft: Wide Receiver

This year, wide receiver is very well-rounded. There are plenty of talented wide receivers in this class, specifically speedy, slot wide receivers. This class has a lot of controversies since it is so loaded that virtually no one has the exact same top ten in the class.

  1. Ja’Marr Chase, LSU — 6.8
  2. Rashod Bateman, Minnesota — 6.7
  3. Devonta Smith, Alabama — 6.7
  4. Jaylen Waddle, Alabama — 6.6
  5. Terrace Marshall Jr., LSU — 6.5
  6. Elijah Moore, Ole Miss — 6.5
  7. Rondale Moore, Purdue — 6.4
  8. Amon-Ra St. Brown, USC — 6.3
  9. Dyami Brown, North Carolina — 6.3
  10. Jaelon Dardon, North Texas — 6.3

Player to Highlight: Terrace Marshall Jr., LSU

In my projections, Terrace Marshall Jr. projects as a Pro Bowl talent wide receiver which is deserving. The third option for LSU in 2019 doesn’t garner as much attention as his teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, but that doesn’t take away from his talent as he lit it up this season despite poor quarterback play and surrounding talent. It helps too that his Relative Athletic Score was the highest in class that tested.

Marshall projects as an X wide receiver at the next level and he will be great at that. With his size and speed, he will be nearly impossible to cover. If the Bears somehow got him in the second or later in the first round, that would be perfectly fine as the Bears could arguably have the best wide receiver core in football with Marshall, Allen Robinson, and Darnell Mooney.
