Chicago Bears: Trade up in the draft or try to deal for Russell Wilson?

Russell Wilson to the Bears or not: A tireless narrative for the Chicago Bears
Mr. Russell Wilson…
Chicago Bears fans have heard that name in the past six months as often as they’ve seen Chicago’s native, spring flower: construction cones.
That was, until the rejection.
Earlier this offseason, the Chicago Bears reportedly offered Seattle three first-round picks, a 2021 third-round pick, and two starters for their franchise quarterback Russell Wilson. Now, at the surface, that looks like a lot, and it is, but that’s only if the first-round picks end up doing anything.
On the other hand, however, the Bears are getting something they’ve quite literally never had — a franchise quarterback. To me, there aren’t many prices too high for that, but this reported offer seems to be slightly too much. Take away one of the assets offered, and I find that to be a heavy trade for a needed position.
So, since the Seahawks have rejected once, does that mean trade talks are over between Chicago and Seattle? It doesn’t seem like it, as Chris Mortensen hints that a Russell Wilson trade to Chicago is “not totally off the board.”
Is that the case though? Is it a long shot to obtain Russell Wilson through trade? And even if it is possible, is it worth it?
Although the trade talks have since slowed down significantly, that doesn’t mean they’ve completely halted, especially given what Mortensen said on SportsCenter.
Since the Bears were willing to send the ship for an aging, yet proven, 32-year-old Russell Wilson, does that mean they’d do the same to trade up to No. 4 or No. 7 for someone not nearly as proven in the NFL? I’m so glad you asked!
