It sounds like the interest for Chicago Bears’ wide receiver Anthony Miller has picked up. Rumors have been floating around about Miller being on the trade block. The Chicago Bears were shopping him to determine his value and it sounds like the team is hearing some legit responses. Ian Rapoport recently shared that Miller could be on the move.
Before we get into which teams would make the most sense and solid landing spots for Anthony Miller, let us take a look at what he has done while here in Chicago. Miller was a wide receiver I wanted the Bears to draft in 2018. When Ryan Pace made the move up for Miller, I was legitimately excited. In his rookie season, Miller helped justify my excitement when he scored seven touchdowns and gained 423 yards. His arrow was clearly pointing up.
Unfortunately for Anthony Miller, he has dealt with reoccurring shoulder injuries. It has negatively affected his performance in every season. This health risk is likely going to drive down his trade value too. It will be interesting if the trade involves any other players or only 2021 NFL Draft picks.
Miller’s production and efficiency dropped in 2019, which raised plenty of concerns for the young receiver. Young might not be the best way to describe Miller who turns 27 in October. To put that into perspective, Allen Robinson will be 28 in August. With how deep the 2021 NFL Draft class is at wide receiver, it only makes sense to try and move on from Miller here. Get something in return for him if you can. If not, keep him on the roster and let him walk in 2022 if things don’t improve.
Here are a few teams that could use Anthony Miller on their rosters.
