Chicago Bears Rumors: Top-5 destinations for an Anthony Miller trade
Chicago Bears trade rumors: Another wide receiver could go to the Eagles
If we look at the Philadelphia Eagles offensive roster, the team is lacking playmakers. Alshon Jeffery never stayed healthy enough to make a difference consistently for the Eagles. He is now out the door. With Carson Wentz gone and rumors of Zach Ertz likely to be traded too, the team is clearly starting to reshape the offense.
Jalen Reagor is a wide receiver I was excited about last year, but injuries ruined his rookie season. I still think he will turn into a solid option, but outside of Reagor, the other receivers on the team include Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward, Quez Watkins, and J.J. Arcega Whiteside. The Chicago Bears would be lucky to land a fourth-round pick from the Eagles — a round missing from the Chicago Bears’ current set of 2021 draft picks.
With the changing of the guard from Wentz to Jalen Hurts, Anthony Miller should see plenty of opportunities in this offense. Miller should be able to quickly develop a rapport with Hurts and the two should make some great, unscripted plays. This is the one area that Miller struggled with here in Chicago. He was not disciplined enough for Matt Nagy’s offense, which focuses on timing and positioning on the field. This is why too often we saw Miller running the “wrong” route.
In Philadelphia, with a new head coach and a new quarterback, Miller is exactly the type of player that team needs. It will be interesting to see how Nick Sirianni handles the offense as the roster is not constructed in any similar way to the Indianapolis Colts — the team he was most recently the offensive coordinator for under former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator and current Colts head coach Frank Reich.
