Chicago Bears, NFL Draft

At this point in the offseason, Chicago Bears fans are ready to see their team get in on the excitement.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen some big deals go down in the NFL. A couple of doozies have shocked and shaken fan bases in regards to how their teams will approach the 2021 NFL Draft.

Whether it was the San Francisco 49ers moving up to pick no. 3 overall, the Miami Dolphins moving back up to pick no. 6 or Sam Darnold being dealt to the Carolina Panthers, the trades have been impactful, to say the least.

But, when will the Bears get in on the action?

No matter what, Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears must make a draft-day trade

Fans are tired of mediocrity. They are tired of watching other teams make monumental moves while Pace and the Bears continue down the same road they’ve been on for a few years now.

We can point to the quarterback position, specifically, because that’s the easy thing to do. It’s the low-hanging fruit. But, it’s also the most important position in football — so, why wouldn’t we jump to that conversation?

Pace has done nothing but fail, over and over, when it comes to that position. However, in this latest mock, we have the Bears making a move in the first round to go up and get a non-quarterback. First and foremost, the Bears make a bold move to go up and take the best player on the board.

Later on, they do address quarterback. We are foolish to think Andy Dalton and Nick Foles are going to lead a playoff charge this year. The Bears have to add at least one more guy to the quarterback room, and they do.

But again, to start, we get bold in the first round.
