The Chicago Bears have plenty of holes to try and fill this offseason. They are not a top-of-the-line team, impervious to certain flaws like some of the other top teams in the league. No, instead, the Bears’ holes all come at key positions like quarterback, left tackle and wide receiver.

Right now, all we can do is guess what Ryan Pace, Matt Nagy and the Chicago Bears have planned for the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. We here at Bear Goggles On (BGO) have done plenty of different mock drafts with different ideas and plans based on our varying writers’ opinions. Not to mention how the landscape has changed with the 49ers moving up from 12th in the draft to third. Now, many are predicting the first three picks in the draft will be quarterbacks.

Who knows if Ryan Pace will stay put at 20th overall or if he will move up in the draft. The crazy thing here would be for Pace to move back into the later picks in the first round while collecting additional picks. Crazy is also code for smart depending on who is still available, but Pace believes in conviction, which is also code for his aggressiveness to take a player he believes in — even if that belief is right or wrong.

Larry Mayer, the lead writer of the Chicago Bears, recently collected 17 analysts’ first-round picks and compiled them together. I took it a step further to determine which positions lead the way.
