Media sources predict what position the Chicago Bears will draft first
Four analysts predict the Chicago Bears will select a cornerback
Now that Kyle Fuller has been released, it appears many analysts believe the Chicago Bears will be selecting a cornerback in the first round. Out of the 14 analysts left, four are predicting that Ryan Pace will take a cornerback.
Caleb Farley leads the way here as two out of the four are predicting his name to be called when Roger Goodell walks onto the stage to announce who the Chicago Bears have decided to draft in the first round. Brad Biggs is one of the two analysts predicting Farley to the Bears, and Nick Klopsis of Newsday agrees with Biggs.
Although the other two analysts agree that a cornerback will be selected by the Bears in the first round, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com thinks former Northwestern cornerback Greg Newsome will be who the Chicago Bears select. On the other hand, Nate Davis of USA Today is predicting Jaycee Horn is who Ryan Pace selects.
If the Chicago Bears take any of these three players, the hope here would be that it winds up as either Farley or Horn — both are either the No. 2 or No. 3 ranked cornerback on most analysts’ big boards.
