Most analysts are predicting the Chicago Bears select an offensive tackle

A resounding eight of the 17 analysts believe the Chicago Bears will be selecting an offensive lineman in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. More specifically, these eight believe offensive tackle will be the pick. I worded it this way for a reason as one name that comes up often is Alijah Vera-Tucker. Many believe he is better suited to be an offensive guard, while others think he will do just fine on the outside. For purposes of this, we will consider him a tackle.

This means all eight believe offensive tackle will be selected by Ryan Pace. I am sure that makes many Bears fans happy. I personally would not hate it as left and right tackle positions are “needs” this season. That said, I would rather they take a wide receiver in the first round. Although receiver is deep in this year’s draft class, I believe offensive line is even deeper and the Bears can find an instant starter with their second-round pick.

Alijah Vera-Tucker was predicted to be selected by the Bears by three of the eight analysts. However, Teven Jenkins leads the way as four of the eight (including insider Adam Jahns) believe the Bears take the tackle out of Oklahoma State. This leaves one analyst left and that analyst (Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports) believes Samuel Cosmi is the tackle taken by the Bears.

Must Read. Bears should trade these players for 2021 draft picks. light

Recap:

Offensive tackle leads the way here as eight of the 17 (nearly half) believe the Chicago Bears will select an offensive tackle in the first round. Cornerback comes in second with four, while wide receiver is next with three of the 17 analysts believing the Bears go that route. This leaves EDGE and quarterback to pick up the final two spots as each only has one analyst predicting the Bears take a player at one of those positions.
