Chicago Bears ex-return man Cordarrelle Patterson is still jobless

This one actually surprises me a little. Cordarrelle Patterson is a great locker room presence on top of his attempts at recruiting other players (even if none of that worked). A team like the Chicago Bears does not have the luxury of signing a player with Patterson’s abilities. This is why he has not been re-signed.

Instead, a team that is a legitimate contender in 2021 should look to add Patterson. He does not bring much to the passing game, but he brings more than enough in the return game along with the ability to help on gadget plays.

Patterson recently played a bit of an April Fool’s joke, but he is still unemployed.

I could see Patterson signing with a team like the Indianapolis Colts or the Los Angeles Chargers. The Colts have better Super Bowl aspirations in my opinion than the Chargers, but both have some decent salary cap space left and could use Patterson’s kick return abilities.
