As we inch ever closer to the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft, now is a great time to start working on what the Chicago Bears’ draft strategy can look like. Rumors are flying all around regarding players the team is interested in and even teams Ryan Pace might work with to trade up from their current draft spot.

In this episode of The Chicago Audible, Will DeWitt, Nicholas Moreano and Mason West do something that has never been done on the podcast before (which is exciting considering this is the 550th episode) and run through a couple of mock draft simulations on the fly.

Take a listen as the guys take a more informal approach and work through various draft scenarios and strategies for the Chicago Bears with a couple of different draft simulators.

With so many scenarios for the Chicago Bears, we cover them all

What’s unique and interesting about this episode is that there is a lot of value from multiple angles, because you won’t just learn more about some of the prospects and how those players in this year’s draft class can be potential fits on the Bears.

You will also gain some insight into how these simulations expect the board to fall. And since the guys will be going through different scenarios including a trade-up and a trade-down in the first round, you will get a strong sense of the benefits and drawbacks of each.

How difficult would it be for Ryan Pace to create a complete 2021 Draft Class if he trades up into the first round to get a quarterback? What if he trades back into the end of the first round?

If the Bears remain at 20, who are some of the top prospects that they should be able to select from?

And if Chicago trades down (and down again), how can they best utilize some of those additional draft picks?

As always, the guys at The Chicago Audible, have you covered.

For reference, the guys used two different draft simulators for this week’s podcast episode: Pro Football Focus and The Draft Network.
