The Chicago Bears could move these players for more draft picks

The 2021 NFL Draft is now less than two weeks away and nobody has any idea what the Chicago Bears could be thinking for their 2021 NFL Draft plan. Even in the first round, anybody can make the case for the Bears to draft a quarterback, wide receiver, interior offensive lineman, offensive tackle, cornerback, or even safety. We can’t tell how the Bears view their current roster and this current class.

Going into the draft though, there has been heavy speculation that the Bears want to move up in the draft and grab their quarterback again. In doing so, they are going to likely have to send future picks and current picks to do so if they want to get into the range to select a top-five quarterback in the class.

If that truly is the case, the Bears could substitute those picks for a player. However, they could just instead send picks and trade current players for picks to replace the picks that they lost. They likely won’t get much draft capital for a lot of players on their roster, but it’s hard to gauge how the NFL views some of the Bears’ current roster.

The Bears currently have eight picks in the NFL draft with four of those picks in the sixth round and no fourth-round pick as that was shipped away to Jacksonville for Nick Foles last offseason. That isn’t bad draft capital, but they could get more to have some leverage for trades in this draft.
