3. Spencer Brown, RT, Northern Iowa

With Spencer Brown, we jump right back into the idea that the Chicago Bears are going to jump on big-time athletes from small-time schools. Spencer Brown definitively checks that box. Check out his size and athletic skills below.

You just do not find human beings who move like that at that size. Ryan Pace is drawn to taking shots on athleticism, and Brown likely jumped over many for Pace just from the testing aspect.

Still, Brown also fits exactly what the Chicago Bears need. He has played almost exclusively on the right side, and while Germain Ifedi is currently starting, we know that he is not a long-term answer at the position. Brown would not need to start week one, but once he is ready to take over at the position, the position is his.

A recent example of betting on a raw athlete and watching it work out was Kolton Miller of the Oakland Raiders. Many thought he was drafted way too high, but Las Vegas just extended him. Brown has that sort of upside, and is a similar athlete. We have not had an athlete at this size since then, though.

Brown obviously comes from a smaller school and will be available later on draft weekend. Still, if the Bears miss on the offensive line in the first round, you can bet that they have the Northern Iowa tackle on their radar.

We have a draft profile on Spencer Brown on the site as well.
