2. Cade Johnson, WR, South Dakota State

Cade Johnson was from a small area and was under-recruited but found himself walking onto South Dakota State. After a redshirt year, he became a relied-on slot option who also helped in the return game. Johnson is small, but shifty and knows how to break off of the football.

Beyond being your typical slot receiver, SDSU used Cade Johnson in motion often. He worked well with the ball in his hands-on jet sweeps, orbit screens, and reverses. They did anything to get him the ball.

Johnson fits Chicago as a potential Anthony Miller replacement. He does have the highest ceiling in the world but has the potential to jump right into the slot in a similar role to Miller last season. He could also compete to find kick return snaps.

Cade Johnson is not the blazing athlete but checks enough boxes that you can certainly trust him making the leap to the NFL. Considering the need and high floor, he will be considered.
