If the Chicago Bears go offense, that is good. If they go offensive line, even better. If they go with Dillon Radunz, it will check a lot of Ryan Pace boxes. An athletic small school player at a premium position, who is also a pretty risky pick at number 20.

Radunz missed the entire 2020 season due to a pandemic, so everything is based on 2019 and the Senior Bowl. His 2019 tape showed a player who stood out at times but did not dominate lower competition to the point where you thought round one.

The time off clearly did him well. Strength was his biggest issue, which is a serious question when he is losing to small school players. However, he dominated that area at the senior bowl and put up great numbers at the pro day.

This buzz has some in the NFL media saying that he has a chance to slide into round one. If the Chicago Bears are the team to take him, they are admitting they need to hit the line. However, they are taking a swing at a risk. Tackles such as Christian Darrisaw, Teven Jenkins, and Alex Leatherwood would have to be gone. Even Samuel Cosmi brings less risk than Radunz.

It would not be a shock if the Bears took Radunz higher than some expected. However, it would no doubt be a risky pick.
