Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears aggressively trade up for Dillon Radunz

As certain offensive linemen were coming off the board, I had to make another move. As Ryan Pace, improving this team immediately is more important than building for a few years from now. Unless this team sees some vast improvement, Pace is likely gone in 2022 — Matt Nagy also.

The offensive line looked better towards the end of the year, but the team cannot sit still and watch a strong offensive line class speed past them. Alex Leatherwood and Teven Jenkins came off the board early in the second round. With the 52 overall pick, I felt like I was too far away and had to move up. The move paid off once again.

I made a trade with the Jaguars that sent the Bears’ second-rounder (52) plus a sixth-round pick (208) to Jacksonville. In return, the Bears moved up to 45 and selected Dillon Radunz. Radunz is a prospect with plenty of potential. With his 33-1/4″-long arms, Radunz has the size to be a starting tackle in the NFL, hopefully, a left tackle. He stands 6’5″ and weighs over 300 pounds. Radunz has good balance and is probably the second-most aggressive tackle behind Teven Jenkins.
