Chicago Bears: Final 2021 NFL mock draft with trades fixes team’s needs
The Chicago Bears make three trades to move back and gain draft picks
After trading up twice, I felt like I had to add some additional draft capital to help find some additional prospects who can help make an immediate impact. Baltimore came calling looking for the Chicago Bears pick at 83rd overall and I couldn’t help but move back as a few guys were on the board I felt comfortable with drafting.
Trading back worked, as I received a fourth-round pick in the process. The Bears don’t have a fourth-rounder and finding a way to get one while keeping their other-round picks would be a fantastic feat. I did one better though.
Shockingly, Baltimore came calling again within the same round. I didn’t gain any additional picks this time, but I was able to turn a sixth-rounder into a second, fourth-round pick. Now, instead of not having a fourth-round pick, I now have two fourth-rounders and did not lose any picks within the first three rounds.
This was not good enough though. I went with three straight trades. I know this sounds very unrealistic, but it is not outside the realm of possibilities. With this move, the Chicago Bears have now traded out of the third round altogether, but the moves just make too much sense.
Now, after these three trades, I moved out of the third round completely, added three, fourth-round picks and moved up a decent amount in the fifth round. Let’s see if it pays off.
