Chicago Bears Mock: Two major trades lead to a guaranteed franchise QB
My previous article covered the top strategies that the Chicago Bears should employ as the draft unfolds and draft options get eliminated. This mock draft will be based on a combination of what I believe is the most likely as well as the best possible outcome. With that in mind, I believe the Bears are going to trade with Atlanta to get their 4th pick in the draft and then select Trey Lance.
This is based on Brad Biggs of the Tribune predicting this will happen in his most recent mock draft. Biggs is as connected to the Chicago Bears front office as any Bears insider so this rumor should be taken very seriously.
I have a feeling that Ryan Pace and the Bears are not done here though. After June 1st, I see the Bears trading Trey Lance and Andy Dalton along with Akiem Hicks and probably more to the Seahawks for Russell Wilson. There are a surprising number of good reasons to believe this will happen and at the end of the list of players in this Chicago Bears mock draft I will cover them in detail.
The Chicago Bears are about to set themselves up for a major trade in June
The Chicago Bears start off by trading up to the fourth-overall pick by sending a future first, future second and Anthony Miller to Atlanta. With rumors that the Falcons are looking to trade, or at least listening to calls from other teams on, Julio Jones, adding Anthony Miller to the trade might be enough to get a deal done.
Ryan Pace selects Trey Lance with the fourth-overall pick and sets up a possible domino effect for later this offseason.
